In Brooklyn some pint sized entrepreneurs put their business know-how to the test for Lemonade Day in the borough.
More than 20 kids and teens in Brownsville set up three lemonade stands for 'Old Timers Day' at the Brownsville Recreation Center, Saturday. The program teaches kids how to start and operate their very own businesses by selling lemonade.
All money raised is kept by the kids and they are encouraged to spend, save, and donate their earnings.
Entrepreneur Vera Sweeney says "this is such a great day for kids to come out and show their own entrepreneurial spirit and learn what it's like to create something and make a dollar on their own."
The kids also sold fresh watermelon and potato chips.
