Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is partnering with the Queens County Farm Museum to host a farmer's market for the second year in a row.
The market is located on Jamaica Avenue behind the hospital and is open from 10 AM to 4 PM every Thursday until November 14th.
"We have a lot of fast foods. We have a lot of bodegas that don't have fresh produce but very few supermarkets with fresh produce so it's critical for the health of this community," said Ann Corrigan, Director Of Planning for Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
Visitors can also see food demonstrations, get free recipes, and health screenings.
