A Grammy award-winning musician was killed in the Bronx in a dispute fueled by an apparent love triangle.

Police say Lawrence "Lo" Leathers, 37, was arguing with his girlfriend Lisa Harris, 41, in the stairwell of a building on East 141st Street in Mott Haven.

Investigators say Harris punched Leathers, and Sterling Aguilar, 28, put him in a chokehold, causing him to lose consciousness.

Lawrence’s body was discovered Sunday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the pair left the scene believing that the victim was unconscious, not dead.

Harris and Aguilar are facing assault charges, but that could be upgraded.

The Daily News reports the three lived together and that Aguilar and Leathers were romantic rivals.

Leathers was a Grammy-winning jazz drummer.

His most recent Grammy came in 2017 for "Dreams and Daggers," much of which was recorded live at The Village Vanguard in Greenwich Village.

The medical examiner is working to determine his cause of death.
