WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A local antique shop is closing its doors after two and a half years of business. The reason? Poor business brought upon by the I-40 project.

The store announced their closing on their Facebook page back in May, saying sales were down by 80 percent.

According to their Facebook page, the I-40 highway project has made it "next to impossible" for customers to get to the store.

The frustrations by the store owners were displayed in another post a few days after the announcement.

Everything in the store is reportedly 40 percent off until June 15, when there will be a tags sale to liquidate everything that is left.

On June 1, the store wrote a final post expressing thanks to the community.
