NEW YORK - Police are searching for two men after a rider was attacked at a subway station in Midtown late Monday night.

It happened at the Bryant Park Subway Station on 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue after 11 p.m.

Officials say the man was stabbed in the neck and abdomen.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and is being treated for his injuries.

Commuters say this kind of violence is not new to the station.

"The fact that it almost doesn't sound as something that might be shocking is a big problem. I go home to the Bronx every night from 42nd Street and it's not new news. I think it's messed up that it happens pretty frequently," said one rider.
