Her bags are packed and she's ready to go. Lynne Patton will soon be standing outside the door of a NYCHA apartment in the Bronx.
The Housing and Urban Development regional administrator who oversees the housing authority will temporarily move in.
From Monday to next Friday, Patton will live in an apartment with a host family at the Patterson Houses in Mott Haven.
It's the first of four NYCHA complexes Patton is scheduled to visit.
Patton had expressed an interest in staying at a NYCHA building to learn more about problems tenants face.
The temporary stay was originally scheduled for last month.
It was postponed because of the government shutdown.
