Beekeepers gave lessons on the importance of honeybees in our everyday lives, outside of making honey.
Experts say bees pollinate a third of all U.S. agricultural product and there are simple steps to help grow the shrinking bee population.
"Plant flowers, buy local honey, come to beekeeper meetings, don't spray pesticides all over your yard in the middle of the day and if you need to get rid of other pests please do it late at night when the bees are gone," said Forsyth County Beekeepers Association President Sara Devine.
