Long lines waiting for gas usually guarantees putting people in a bad mood. But In Brooklyn, a queue at one gas station is putting a smile on some motorists' faces.
That's because more than 100 cars were able to fill up at the pump for free at a gas station in Crown Heights Saturday morning. It was all made possible by a local church called Miracle Center International, which hosted the giveaway. The church's Pastor, Nicolas Felix, says they started the event as a way to give back to the surrounding community and teach people about the notion of paying it forward and doing a good deed. “People are not used to receiving I noticed especially in New York. When we say free gas. People are like - what’s the catch? There is no catch. It’s free.”
This is the fourth year the church has hosted the gas giveaway.
