SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- A big hole is causing big headaches in Moore County.
- There's a sinkhole on W. Wisconsin Ave in Southern Pines.
- The hole is thought to have been caused by heavy rain.
- It will take at least two weeks to repair.
A sinkhole has closed down a portion of W. Wisconsin Ave after the town got hit hard by heavy rain last weekend.
People who live close by say that, while driving around the area is a little more complicated, the inconvenience is really not that bad.
Officials with the town are now investigating how this happened and what the potential cost might be to repair the road.
It will be a minimum of two weeks and perhaps, even longer, for the road to be repaired.
