NATIONWIDE -- Apparently several people have been playing the card game UNO wrong since its creation.

Many players throw out the Draw 4 card regardless of how many or what cards they already have, but one Facebook user discovered that you can only play the Draw 4 card if no other card in your hand matches the color on the discard pile. Mind-blowing right? 

Other players have a variety of rules when playing UNO, including drawing cards continuously until getting the one needed, and putting down double or triple the same card but in different colors, like three 8s in red, green, and blue.
