A man is under arrest after Port Authority police say he stole a Greyhound bus from a lot near the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Port Authority police say a Greyhound dispatcher informed them that a bus was stolen from their lot at 40th Street and Dyer Avenue just after 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
A Greyhound employee flagged down Port Authority canine officers about 10 minutes later and said the bus was passing by near 31st Street and 10th Avenue, according to the Port Authority. Port Authority police say those officers stopped the bus and arrested the man at the wheel.
The man accused of taking the bus was identified by Port Authority police as 54-year-old Charles Brown of Newark, New Jersey. Charges against him are pending.
