If you thought it was cold during the day Wednesday, you will not have much relief in the overnight.
Temperatures dropped into the 20s Wednesday night and are slated to stay frigid overnight, with wind chills in the teens and snow developing.
Snow will fall around midnight and end around 7 a.m. Thursday. The city is expecting only about an inch of accumulation by the morning.
Wind chills will be below freezing over the weekend.
The city is preparing to tackle the overnight snowfall head on, with more employees and extended shifts.
Officials have issued a snow alert and said they will closely monitor the forecast. Salt spreaders are being filled in anticipation.
If you would like more information about the city's response plans, you can check out the city's severe weather website or give 311 a call.
