Cyclists pedaled in Times Square on Wednesday for cancer awareness and support research.
Equinox instructors led riders on stationary bikes as part of the 12th annual "Cycle for Survival" event.
Nearly a thousand people took part, including cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and doctors.
Among those taking part was NY1 anchor and cancer survivor Roma Torre.
"It is essential that we support, finance, and fund rare cancer research," she said while pedaling. "This is the lifeline that millions of people depend on, and there really is nothing else out there."
"The combination of fun, athletics — I mean, you can pedal hard, you can hardly pedal — that, combined with the ability to give 100 percent of our donations to Sloan Kettering, was the perfect combination for us," said Matteo Seconi of Team Ginger Strong for "Cycle for Survival."
The event has raised more than $140 million since its founding in 2007.
