The city's transportation department is getting cyclists pumped up to ride through streets.

It tweeted this photo of workers installing one of two new green bike pumps.

One is under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn.

The second one is under the Williamsburg Bridge in Manhattan.

Officials say they plan to add one more pump at the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in Saint George.

It's part of a pilot program aimed at helping out the increasing number of cyclists in the city.

The department says it wants to see how the pumps perform in different types of weather, heavy usage, and other situations before adding more at more busy cyclist areas.
