NEW YORK - NY1 took home several top honors Monday night at the 2017 New York Press Club Journalism Awards.

The annual event was held at the Water Club in Manhattan.

NY1 nabbed five awards, four of which were for its coverage of last year's U.S. presidential race.

The station won the special event category for reporting on the Democratic presidential primary debate.

Political reporter Grace Rauh picked up an award for her coverage of Trump Tower.

Meanwhile, Courtney Gross was honored for her work on homeless shelters in the city.

She also grabbed an award for her commentary on the presidential and vice presidential debates.

And in the spot news category, NY1 also won for its coverage of the Chelsea Bombing last September.
