Eric Garner's daughter says she has been invited to meet with the Justice Department to discuss the investigation into her father's chokehold death at the hands of police.
Erica Garner tweeted Monday that the DOJ wants to give her an update on its probe.
It's not clear when the meeting will take place or exactly what will be discussed.
Earlier this year, law enforcement sources told NY1 that a federal grand jury was hearing testimony in the case.
The Justice Department is trying to decide whether to bring federal civil rights charges against NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo.
He put Eric Garner in a chokehold while trying to arrest him for illegally selling loose cigarettes in July 2014.
Garner's death was ruled a homicide by the city medical examiner.
The federal investigation began after a grand jury on Staten Island declined to indict Pantaleo.
