SAN ANTONIO — It's not an easy task but it has to get done says Marylou Hernandez, owner of the Cascaron Store in San Antonio.
"We make over 9,000 decorated every Easter but we take the whole year to make them," Hernandez said.
Despite the tradition of breaking cascarones on someone's head, Hernandez says people have started to collect hers.
"You can save mine, you can save the decorated cascarones. The most popular ones are the mariachi cascaron and the folk dancer cascaron."
