Some familiar faces will soon be popping up on cereal boxes here in the borough.
ShopRite Supermarkets unveiled a special-edition Cheerios box Monday as part of its "Partners in Caring" contest.
The anti-hunger initiative challenges store associates to raise money for local food banks.
Employees who went above and beyond are featured on the front of the box, including 2 who work at the Charleston ShopRite.
"They do a great job with all kinds of charities during the course of the year. This is one of many. This is the one they put their heart and soul into every year. It gets some competition going," said Store Director Tony Martori.
"It's part of the culture, it's what we do. Help the community," said Honoree John Pereira.
ShopRite says its 3 Staten Island locations raised more than $60,000 during this year's competition.
