Today marks three years since the East Harlem explosion that destroyed two buildings and killed eight people.
The blast on Park Avenue near 116th Street happened after a gas line ruptured.
It injured dozens of others and left many displaced and homeless.
It also took a toll on several nearby businesses.
A community health group blamed the explosion for a spike in asthma cases in the area as well.
Con Edison reached a $153 million dollar settlement with the state over the explosion last month after it was determined the utility company violated safety regulations leading up to the explosion.
