Despite the frigid temperatures, plenty of pantless straphangers will swipe their MetroCards later today.

An improv group will hold its 16th annual No Pants Subway Ride.

Anyone is able to take part.

Nearly 4,000 bare-legged commuters participated in the city last year.

Riders are warned not to wear anything that might be considered offensive.

Organizers with Improv Everywhere say the goal is to make people laugh, not anger them.

More than 50 other cities around the world will also be holding pantless rides today.

The event is scheduled to take place in New York at 3 p.m. For more information, visit Improv Everywhere's website.
