The NYPD says it is looking for an NBA player in connection with an assault at a New York City nightclub.
According to the NYPD, a man, identified by witnesses as Sacramento Kings forward Matt Barnes, assaulted two women and a man at Avenue nightclub in Manhattan just after midnight Monday.
Police say Barnes began choking a woman sitting on a table at the club.
According to police, when other people tried to intervene, Barnes began punching them.
He then fled the scene, according to the NYPD.
The Kings were in town for a Sunday night game against the Knicks.
It is unclear if any victims were transported to the hospital.
