A whale was spotted in the East River on Saturday morning near Gracie Mansion, according to harbor police.

Coast Guard officials said that they have not seen it themselves, but that based on the pictures it appears to be a humpback whale.

This is not the first time a whale has splashed into the waters of the five boroughs recently.

There were several sightings last month around New York Harbor.
