Officials cut the ribbon Thursday on the new Five Borough Food Hall in Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport, providing travelers with New York food before they soar into the skies.

The 3,500-square-foot space now has four stationary vintage food trucks and serves street tacos, noodles, gyros and more. There is also a grab-and-go section and a bar.

"So we can always keep it fresh for the passengers, and the customers who come here, through here, every day," said Michael Svagdis, the CEO of SSP America. "We can always continue to make sure it feels like New York City when people come in here."

"A lot of people spend time at the airport, and sometimes voluntarily, sometimes not. To provide them with a food offer they really enjoy, offer them choice, that's important for people," said Gert-Jan de Graff, the CEO of JFKIAT, LLC.
