Officials unveiled some improvements at the Aqueduct racetrack on Tuesday.

Elected leaders toured the track with New York Racing Association President and CEO Chris Kay.

Since a change in management in 2013, the track has seen some improvements.

"You walk in here, you see an immediate change. You know, it used to be dark and dingy and dirty. Now it's cleaner, brighter, safer…it has become a different place," said State Senator Joseph Addabbo.

Some of the renovations include the addition of 557 new HD televisions, new restaurants and bars and betting room with Spanish speaking race-callers.

"Different people can enjoy different parts of our building all day long, have a great time and also enjoy some of the best horse racing you'll see anywhere in the country," said Kay.

The cost of the upgrades cost about $15 million.
