Some volunteer gardeners in Ridgewood are hoping to rake in some funds to keep their nursery growing.
The crew that started the Ridgewood Garden has started has a GoFundMe campaign to raise money that will go towards the purchase gardening tools and some wood to create planters.
The garden is located off of Metropolitan Avenue in front of Grover Cleveland High School's baseball field.
Visitors will find basil, tomatoes and squash in the garden.
"This is a way to come back put your feet on the earth, put your feet on the ground. Smell the basil, see the bees. This tiny little garden has butterflies and bees and crickets," said Alyssa Bonilla, a volunteer gardener.
You can participate in garden's "work days" which are Saturdays as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings .
