State Police in Pennsylvania have deactivated the Amber Alert system in New York in response to a child abduction that happened around 12:30 a.m. Friday in Nescopeck, Luzerne County.
Police said 24-year-old Robert Byrne took 3-year-old Ava Byrne under circumstances that lead them to believe the child was in imminent danger.
Police canceled the alert mid-afternoon Friday and didn't provide additional details.
