Brooklyn's new music venue is celebrating its grand opening just in time for the holiday weekend.

Officials say the new Ford Amphitheater at the Coney Island Boardwalk kicks off its inaugural summer concert series Friday.

The venue has 5,000 seats and can host events year round.

The stage is housed inside the historic Child Restaurants Building, which was built in 1923 and is undergoing renovations.

"This location has it all," said Mayor Bill de Blasio. "Look at it. How many venues in this whole nation can boast of such a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and open air and Coney Island, the legend of Coney Island, a legend that grows now."

The Amphitheater held a soft opening last weekend.

This weekend's official grand opening will feature shows from The Impractical Jokers, Sting and Peter Gabriel, and The Beach Boys.
