Catholic Charities of Staten Island organized its first Food Truck Festival in Mount Loretto this weekend.
The two-day event featured trucks from local eateries as well as trucks from New Jersey and the surrounding boroughs.
There was just about everything to satisfy one's diverse palette from wood fired pizza to frozen chocolate cheesecake.
"It's modeled after some food truck festivals that they have throughout the country. We wanted to bring it here to Staten Island and we're excited about it. And you know what, the reality is Staten Islanders love their food," said Catholic Charities of Staten Island CEO Vincent Ignizio.
"Everyone talks about food trucks. It's like the in thing to do. And it's so cool that you can be on the Island and not have to travel to Manhattan to do it," said Margaret Valducci, owner of Valducci's.
Various eateries took part in the fun.
