Donald Trump has picked up the endorsement of the New York Post in Tuesday's Republican primary.
The paper's editorial board calls the billionaire a potential superstar of vast promise who keeps making rookie mistakes.
But it says it expects Trump to pivot on the issues and his manner if he wins the GOP nomination.
Citing his appeal to people who are fed up with government and insider politics, the board says, "Trump is now an imperfect messenger carrying a vital message. But he reflects the best of 'New York values' — and offers the best hope for all Americans who rightly feel betrayed by the political class."
Earlier this week, the Daily News threw its support behind Ohio Governor John Kasich.
