Officials say during the meeting, Miranda talked to the finance tzar about the important impact Hamilton made on U.S. history.
A Treasury Department spokesperson added that Lew reiterated a commitment to "continue to honor Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill."
Miranda posted about the conversation on his Twitter account Wednesday:

Last summer, the government announced plans to redesign the bill and feature a woman on it instead.
While no specifics on the redesign have been announced, Secretary Lew says he is committed to keeping Broadway's most popular founding father in the design.
The new $10 bill is expected to debut in 2020.
