A man accused of murder in Brooklyn is free after spending nine years behind bars.

Randolph Williams, who is now 31 years old, was released Tuesday.

He was convicted in 2008 for allegedly murdering Vincent Hill in Williamsburg in 2007.

Williams appealed his case last year and was granted a retrial.

This time around, officials said prosecutors were not able to produce a key witness.

According to Williams's attorney Michael Farkas, his client said he was in Coney Island with his girlfriend when Hill was shot.

Farkas said the witnesses who testified during the first trial recanted all or most of their statements.

Williams is planning on filing a civil rights lawsuit, alleging police misconduct.
