Police have arrested a Brooklyn man who they say robbed and raped a woman in the Bronx.
Police say 22-year-old Raymond Jenkins followed a woman into the elevator of a building on East 183rd Street in University Heights on Friday.
As the door opened, police say he grabbed her from behind, assaulted her, and stole her cash and two cellphones.
Investigators say he then raped her in a stairwell before running away.
Jenkins is being charged with rape and robbery.
