Police are investigating an attack against an award-winning playwright in Brooklyn.
They say David Henry Hwang was walking on South Oxford Avenue near Lafayette avenue Sunday night when he started feeling neck pain and noticed he was bleeding.
Police say the man seen above in surveillance photos walked up behind Hwang, stabbed him in the neck and ran off.
Police say Hwang then walked to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police say the attacker didn't say anything to the playwright or try to rob him during the incident.
Hwang won a Tony in 1988 for his play "M. Butterfly."
