A man was struck and killed Monday after a car jumped the curb and flipped over in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn.
Police say the 50-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk on Flatbush Avenue near Albemarle Road in Flatbush when a black Nissan Sentra traveling southbound jumped the curb, flipped over and hit him.
The man who was struck by the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the driver, a 58-year-old man, had his 3-year-old son in the car with him. Both the driver and his son were transported to Kings County Hospital with minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
There have now been 15 incidents of pedestrians being struck by cars since Halloween. Twelve of those people were killed.
