A legendary purveyor of pastrami is set to open its first outpost in Brooklyn.
Katz's Deli on the Lower East Side will open a branch at the Dekalb Market, which is being built in Downtown Brooklyn.
Katz's owner says Brooklyn has been a major part of the deli's customer base, and the new branch will make it easier for Brooklyn residents to enjoy its food.
Katz's will be one of 57 vendors expected to operate in the market when construction is done about a year from now.
