New York State's largest health care provider is undergoing a name change.
The North Shore LIJ Health System, which includes 21 hospitals throughout the state, will now go by the name Northwell Health.
The system was formed by a 1997 merger between the North Shore Health System and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Staten Island University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan are among those under Northwell Health.
Each of the hospitals will keep its individual name.
