Critics of President Barack Obama's nuclear deal with Iran urge local officials to vote against it.
Hundreds rallied outside Senator Kristen Gillibrand's Manhattan office in an attempt to reverse her support of the deal.
Opponents of say the terms are dangerous and need to be reconsidered.
"Unfortunately she's following the president and she's getting pressure I'm sure, because I don't think a person of good conscience could possibly vote in favor of the Iran deal, it is a—it is a threat," one protester said.
In response to the rally, Gillibrand said, "Our goal has been, and remains, to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. We have far more ability to achieve that outcome if we approve this deal."
