The Brooklyn War Memorial is getting $1 million to go towards its reopening.
Borough President Eric Adams will make the announcement Thursday morning.
On Memorial Day this year, a ceremony at the 64-year-old monument featured the launch of a Go Fund Me campaign to try to raise money to reopen it.
The Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park has been closed to the public for 25 years. It was built as a tribute to the 300,000 Brooklynites who served in World War II.
It includes a 5,000-square-foot auditorium and wall with the names of Brooklyn residents who died in the war.
The $1 million will cover most of the costs of the first round of repairs.
