There's happy news for the entire NY1 family: anchor Roma Torre is recovering well from colon surgery.
Roma emailed the picture above just hours after the operation.
She said the surgery went off without a hitch and that the doctor actually removed less of her colon than he expected.
Roma was diagnosed with colon cancer in July.
She went public with her illness earlier this week to encourage as many people as possible to get colonoscopies.
Believe it or not, she's already asked her doctors when she can come back to work. They say it'll be about four to six weeks.
