Legendary 1960s singer-songwriter Lesley Gore has died.

Gore died of lung cancer at New York University Langone Medical Center Monday. 

Her partner of 33 years, Lois Sasson, confirmed her death, describing Gore as a "caring" and "giving" woman.

The Brooklyn-born singer was discovered by Quincy Jones as a teenager.

Gore topped the charts in 1963 with "It's My Party," followed by the hits "Judy's Turn to Cry" and "You Don't Own Me."

She also played Catwoman's sidekick on the TV show "Batman."

At the time of her death, she was working on a memoir and a Broadway play based on her life.

Services will be held Thursday at the Frank Campbell funeral home on Madison Avenue.

Lesley Gore was 68.
