Gov. Kathy Hochul is moving forward with the congestion pricing plan, but it is being met with some pushback.
There are nearly a dozen lawsuits still pending over congestion pricing.
One of those lawsuits is from the United Federation of Teachers, which alleges the plan’s impact on traffic and air quality in surrounding areas was not adequately studied.
As the news of the revival of the plan came Thursday, the union immediately issued a statement saying they vow to keep fighting. The union filed a lawsuit over the plan earlier this year.
Michael Mulgrew, president of the United Federation of Teachers, joined “New All Day” on Friday to discuss the lawsuit.
