Imagine being so good at math that you win a national math competition.
Mark Primak is a 13-year-old 8th grader from Queens who won the national MathCON.
The inspiring student joined “News All Day” to talk about his triumph and the advice he has for other future mathletes.
Primak says he loves math because “a lot of math problems have really elegant solutions and so that’s what I like about it.”
To travel to the finals in Chicago, Primak got some help from Councilman Robert Holden. After hearing that Primak had qualified for the finals, Holden found the funds to make sure he could travel and compete.
