Brittany Commisso, one of the women who accused former Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual misconduct, claims she faced professional repercussions in the aftermath of his resignation.

According to a front-page report in the Albany Times Union, Commisso asserts that she was demoted within the Hochul administration after Cuomo left office, receiving minimal responsibilities after Gov. Kathy Hochul assumed office.

Commisso, formerly an executive assistant, alleges being directed by a high-ranking Hochul staffer to seek employment outside the governor's office. Her lawyer contends that Hochul violated state law by not preventing retaliation against whistleblowers.

Following Cuomo's departure, Commisso claims her role was reduced to answering phones and managing an email inbox for resumes, raising questions about adherence to whistleblower protection laws.

Brendan Lyons, managing editor of the Albany Times-Union, authored the article and joined “Mornings On 1” Thursday to discuss more of Commisso’s accusations.
