Two significant court decisions came down in New York City on Tuesday, one relating to sheltering migrants and the other on the fate of Donald Trump’s businesses.
During the morning hours, Judge Wayne Ozzi issued a ruling against the city’s 42-year-old “right to shelter” policy, arguing the “consent decree” is meant to provide emergency housing for homeless New Yorkers, and does not apply to migrant asylum seekers.
Hours later, Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that former President Trump committed fraud for years while building the real estate empire that catapulted him to fame and the White House.
Manhattan prosecutor Jeremy Saland joined “Mornings On 1” Wednesday to break down both court cases, and what comes next for both decisions.
