Author Michael Datcher takes young readers on a journey in "Harlem at Four," a two-part children's picture book.
The story begins following the daily life of a father and daughter in Harlem, offering a contemporary glimpse into their lives and the neighborhood. But then, it shifts in time to 1904, and delves into the historical roots of Harlem.
Datcher, who joined "Mornings On 1" on Tuesday, said he aims to make history accessible to children while also capturing the art of the Harlem Renaissance.
Tune in Wednesday morning on NY1, when the next guest in the "Mornings On 1 Authors Week" series stops by.
