La Mercerie has been transporting New Yorkers to the streets of Paris for years, solidifying its spot on a list of top restaurants in the five boroughs.
Chef Marie-Aude Rose said the restaurant hopes to provide an authentic dining experience and makes it a priority to interact with customers to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere.
“I’m French and I was raised in France and I did my culinary training in France. So I want to bring everything that I know to New York – what I know about French food and what I love the most and try to be as authentic as I can be,” she said during an appearance on “Mornings On 1” Friday.
The restaurant opened in 2018 inside SoHo’s Roman and William Guild location on Mercer Street, and landed a spot on The New York Times’ list of 100 best restaurants in the city this spring.
