Following Mayor Eric Adams and City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams unveiling of a $107 billion budget for New York City's upcoming fiscal year on Thursday, First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright breaks down the agreement.
Despite tense negotiations, the deal between the mayor and the City Council was ultimately reached before the July 1 deadline.
The agreement also arrived amid challenging circumstances, including city agency budget cuts, ongoing labor contract negotiations and the arrival of thousands of asylum seekers to the metro area.
Wright joined “Mornings On 1” Friday to give an inside look at the budget.
