Former President Donald Trump will appear in a federal court in Florida Tuesday afternoon to answer to a 37-count indictment related to the alleged improper handling of classified documents.

Trump arrived in Florida on Monday after spending the weekend on the campaign trail in Georgia and North Carolina.

He stands accused of improperly holding onto sensitive classified materials after leaving office, storing them in boxes stacked around rooms in his Mar-a-Lago estate, and ignoring requests from the Department of Justice to return them.
