King Charles III will formally ascend to the throne of the British royal family following his coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday.
The ceremony includes members of the royal family, the British government and the Church of England.
Right Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Bishop of Dover, joined "Mornings On 1" Wednesday to speak about her important role in the ceremony.
Hudson-Wilkin is the first Black woman to serve as a bishop in the Church of England.
She visited the city as an honoree of the Church Club of New York, and will be headed back to London for the coronation.
Originally from Jamaica, Hudson-Wilkin moved to the United Kingdom in 1982, where she became an ordained priest. She was appointed as chaplain to Queen Elizabeth II in 2007. By 2019, she began her current role as Bishop of Dover.
Hudson-Wilkin will be among those presenting Regalia to Queen Camilla, the wife of King Charles III, at the coronation ceremony.
