Twenty years ago, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani was known as "America's Mayor" as he gained national prominence leading the city in the aftermath of the terror attacks on September 11th.

In more recent years, Giuliani is better known for being one of former President Donald Trump's closest associates, pushing baseless accusations of electoral fraud and being a figure of ridicule for his strange behavior.

"What happened to Rudy Giuliani?" is the question explored in a new book by Andrew Kirtzman, called "Giuliani: The Rise and Tragic Fall of America’s Mayor."

Kirtzman, who has been a political reporter for both print media and television, including on NY1, joined Mornings On 1 in the studio to discuss the book.
